Power Armor is the most iconic armor in the Fallout franchise, so it's natural to wonder if you can obtain it in Fallout Shelter to equip your Vault Dwellers. The answer is yes, you can. Fallout's Power Armor provides your Vault Dwellers with additional Strength, Perception, and Endurance when worn.
However, due to being a legendary outfit, you can't find it through activities like exploration. Instead, there are only a few ways to obtain it, which could take time based on where you are in your game. Let's take a look at how to unlock Power Armor in Fallout Shelter.
How to Find Power Armor in Fallout Shelter
There are only a handful of ways to get Power Armor for your Vault Dwellers in Fallout Shelter. We'll explain each method in greater detail below so you can save valuable resources and time trying to find them.

How to Get Power Armor From Lunchboxes
You will reveal five cards when opening lunchboxes in Fallout Shelter. You can get Power Armor from the second and fifth cards from these five cards. The second card of a Lunchbox has a 1.7% chance of providing legendary armor, and the fifth card has an 8.2% chance of being legendary armor. However, there are other legendary armor in the game besides Power Armor, so you may not get one even if you hit these chances.
How to Get Power Armor From Quests
Many Fallout Shelter questlines can be completed to earn Power Armor. By looking at the quest card's rewards, you can tell if it will hand out Power Armor upon completion.
Here are the quests that reward power armor once completed:
- Almost Human (Synths for Sale)
- Brotherhood of Feels
- Climbing the Ranks (In Shining Armor)
- The Mystery of Vault 666
- The Search Jobinson's Jersey! (Getcha' Peanuts Here!)
- Vault 33 (Only available on Android and iOS)
- Vault 789
The names in parentheses are the subquests for the main quest line, which may take a bit to finish. The subquests are the ones that reward the Power Armor upon completion. Conversely, the quests listed with no parentheses are one-off quests that will reward Power Armor for completion.
How to Get Power Armor From Crafting
You can craft four Power Armor models using the Outfit Workshop by assigning Vault Dwellers with specific high stats based on which Power Armor model you are crafting.
The table below shows the four models of Power Armor in Fallout Shelter, along with each variation, the stats provided to your Vault Dwellers when worn, the junk needed to craft, and the stats of assigned Vault Dwellers to the Outfit Workshop.
